Tree Fern Fibre is made from the fibrous stem of the Kuripaka, a native New Zealand tree fern.
It can be either mixed in with your regular potting mix or used alone. It can also be used as a propagation medium.
Tree Fern Fibre has become well known for being a 'miracle' potting substrate for its ability to magically increase the growth rates of your plants.
This growing medium is also known to be of great help when rehabbing plants that may have succumbed to root rot.
It's ideal for house plants, such as Aroids, Hoya and even Orchids, however, we haven't found a single plant that doesn't love it!
The benefits of using tree fern fibre include:
- Encourages fast & strong root growth
- Well draining
- Discourages root rot
- Mixed with another potting medium provides a good amount of aeration to the soil.
All Fernwood Products are manufactured from New Zealand Tree Fern, which is sustainably harvested from privately owned forests
Love using this product.
I absolutely LOVE purchasing my growing medium, pots and plants from Rachel and her business. My packages arrive within a week of purchasing. The packaging of each items are always secure (pointers for her husband and his awesome detailing) and then accompanied with the loveliest notes. Started following her on YouTube and then when she started her business, I followed right along. From a super happy customer
Best plant product
Love using fern fibre, thank you for the advice on fern fibre and introducing me to it, I make sure I always have a bag. So good for all my plants and propagations.
Great for propagating
I find this product a lot easier than other options for rooting - a lot easier to keep moist.
Have been using this for my rooted propagations and they are absolutely loving it! Pair this with one of the clear pots and you get to watch the root magic take place! This is also great when using for your house plants as well. Been mixing this with cacti mix, perlite and normal soil substances as well as a sprinkle of charcoal and they work like a charm on all of my epipremnums, pothos, philodendrons and monstera plants!!
