The Philodendron Verrucosum is well known and defined by its colourful and velvety leaves.
The top of the leaf is a mix of dark & lime green, whilst the underside has patches of deep red which becomes more defined with maturity.
It also will develop SUPER fuzzy petioles (stems), which is also a defining trait of this plant.
The Verrucosum is a climbing Philodendron, so will eventually need some type of support to help it along. This will also help its leaves grow bigger and mature faster.
It does prefer slightly higher humidity, but will be alright in the average household environment. Place in a position with bright indirect light. Too much light will cause its leaves to brown and burn.
Once rooted, make sure it's planted into a well draining mix, Fern fibre is a great medium for these guys or it can be mixed into your regular potting mix.
Ensure regular watering (but not too often) to ensure you don't get browning tips.
This is a well rooted cutting with a new growth point on the way!
