Our 'Free Range' honey originates from our family farm, extracted in a NP1 qualified kitchen, by qualified people and lab tested for your safety!
Why is it called 'Free Range' honey?
Bee-keepers often put their hives in areas that a predominated by a particular nectar source, so name it accordingly (Manuka, Clover etc).
Ponga Road Honey comes from hives that are located in a life style block area, close to paddocks, private gardens and the Hunua Ranges.
Our bees are collecting from a number of different plants during the honey season, called “The Flow".
As a result, we get honey that is different in taste, thickness & colour, all in one hive, as honey boxes are added during the season.
As a result you may see taste and texture differences in the honey.
This honey comes straight from the hive to the bottle, no extra processing is involved, so you get the full straight from the hive flavour!
