Tree Fern Fibre is made from the fibrous stem of the Kuripaka, a native New Zealand tree fern.
It can be either mixed in with your regular potting mix or used alone. It can also be used as a propagation medium.
Tree Fern Fibre has become well known for being a 'miracle' potting substrate for its ability to magically increase the growth rates of your plants. Â
This growing medium is also known to be of great help when rehabbing plants that may have succumbed to root rot.
It's ideal for house plants, such as Aroids, Hoya and even Orchids, however, we haven't found a single plant that doesn't love it!
The benefits of using tree fern fibre include:
- Encourages fast & strong root growth
- Well draining
- Discourages root rot
- Mixed with another potting medium provides a good amount of aeration to the soil.
One bag of 10L Tree Fern Fibre weighs approximately 2-3kg.
All Fernwood products are manufactured from New Zealand Tree Fern, which is sustainably harvested from privately owned forests.
