Phalaenopsis orchids are often regarded as the easiest orchids to look after and are perfect house plants for beginners and experts alike!
This particular variety is yet to flower for us, so it will be a fun little surprise when it does! Each plant may present different features of each parent plant.
It can be grown in both bright scattered light and in partial shade, but never in direct sunlight. They thrive in most normal household conditions.
Allow to dry out completely before re-watering, always water from the base or bottom water. Do not get water in the top or 'crown' of the orchid as this will rot the plant.
Seedlings are about 6 months out of the flask and growing on strong.
It may take them another season or so to bloom. To help with blooming, allow temperatures to drop slightly in winter as they need a cooler period to initiate spikes.
Adding either GT Orchid Grow or Superthrive Orchid Pro into your watering routine will help them thrive, your flowering will be based off how well you treat them when they're not in bloom!
They do not need a 'rest' period like other phalaenopsis orchids and will often 'continuously bloom' through out the year!
