The Philodendron Verrucosum is a show-stopping, easy-to-care-for member of the Philodendron family.
It's characterised by its large, heart-shaped, deep green leaves with rich burgundy undersides that shimmer in the light. Highly sought after, it's a favourite among houseplant enthusiasts and makes a stunning statement plant in any collection.
General Care Guide
Lighting - Philodendron Verrucosum thrives in bright, indirect light but will also tolerate medium light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the velvety leaves. If your home is on the darker side, a grow light can help maintain healthy growth and encourage larger, more vibrant foliage.
Watering - Philodendrons generally don't like having wet feet. We recommend watering once the soil is at least 80% dry to help prevent root rot.
Soil - When it comes time to re-pot, use a well draining, all round soil mix, such as our GrowingGreen House Plant Mix.
Grow Pole - Philodendrons are climbers, so will need some support as they climb. They come on a coir pole, however we recommend to use a grow pole such as a Thiccly Grow Pole, so its roots can grow into the pole and offer extra support.
Fertiliser -Â We recommend feeding every time you water using a fertiliser, such as GT Foliage Focus or Grow.It Plant Fuel to help your plant thrive!
