How to break the Fungus Gnat cycle
To be able to rid yourself of Fungus Gnats for good, you need to attack the infestation from all stages of the fungus gnat life cycle.
EasyTrap Mozzie Bits work by killing the larvae in your soil and EasyTrap Flying Insect Mini Stickies and/or EasyTrap Flying Insect Stickies kill the adults, breaking the cycle for good!
Another general tip is to allow the soil in your pots to dry out! Fungus Gnat larvae hatch in wet & soggy soil, so allowing it to dry out will help prevent that from happening!
How to use
There are multiple ways to use EasyTrap Mozzie Bits for Fungus Gnats, but the most popular method is 'Mozzie Tea'.
Simply mix 1 tablespoon of Mozzie Bits per litre of warm water. Let the Bits soak for 30-60 minutes, then skim off the floating granules. You can also place the Bits in a nylon stocking prior to immersing them in water. That makes it easier to remove the granules, which can be composted or discarded.
Stir or shake the water to make sure it's thoroughly mixed in. Then use the 'Mozzie Tea' to water your plants.
This treatment controls fungus gnat larvae present in the soil at the time of application. For best results, use your Mozzie tea within 48 hours.
Repeat this process each time you water for the next three waterings. If fungus gnats reappear at a later time, simply repeat this treatment again.
