Tree Fern Fibre Boards are made from the fibrous stem of the Kuripaka, a native New Zealand tree fern.
They are excellent mounts for orchids, epiphytes, ferns and more.
These long lasting, fibrous, natural boards offer excellent drainage and aeration when used for mounting and can be used in high humidity glass houses without deterioration.
As these boards are fairly soft, it makes them easy to cut to suit the size of your project. They are also soft enough to push wires through, allowing mounted plants to be hung.
The 1.5cm thick boards are mostly used for tropical backgrounds. For Orchid mounting/hanging we recommend 2.5cm thickness, as they are sturdier.
